Kati Whitledge started Be Inspired Salon in August 2010. Prior to the opening, she woke up in the middle of the night with the tag line, “Be Bold, Be Beautiful, Be Inspired Salon.” This is how our salon was named. Be Inspired Salon’s mission is to inspire and empower you to be truly authentic on the inside and out.

It wasn’t easy starting a salon after the 2008 recession. Kati recruited non-owning investors to help fund her first business. Through value-based marketing strategies and our ability to grow a dynamic team of like-minded humans, we have become the most sought-after hair salon in greater Madison, Wisconsin. In fact, we are award-winning for bridal hair and makeup named one of Salon Today’s Top200 Salons in North America, and recently awarded the Gold honor as Madison’s Best Hair Salon!

We have grown tremendously since we’ve opened—expanding three times in nine years! We are now located in our new, larger salon space on Junction Road on Madison’s west side. This has opened the doors to new opportunities! It’s the most exciting time to join their team because there are new opportunities to grow a larger client-base and following!

Our company's goal is to open a second location within the next five years. This is where YOU come in. We need your expertise and creativity to build our brand and revenue in order to achieve our financial goals needed to move forward with multi-salon locations.

The really cool part is, you’ll have the opportunity to be mentored by Kati, whom you may not know is also the creator and CEO of the award-winning Meet Your Stylist® marketing tool.  If anyone is going to make sure you’re successful in your marketing career, it’s going to be our founder herself. This opportunity does not arrive without superior expectations, however, the support, accountability, and ownership you will have in this position are invaluable.

Position Mission Statement

Increase client retention and client acquisition through consistent and emotionally effective communications via live and digital platforms.

 

Expectations | Outcomes

  • Recruit 225 new clients per month

  • Recruit 2 candidates per month

  • Obtain and maintain 75% client retention rate

  • Increase average ticket spend by 10% year-over-year

  • Obtain and maintain 20+ positive Google reviews per month

  • Plan and execute monthly campaigns for events, website, social, emails, YouTube, and partnerships

  • Achieve and maintain top Google rankings monthly for our top five keyword search phrases and service categories

  • Plan blog content and manage blog launches with the writer/bloggers on our team

  • Submit monthly KPI and ROI reports

 

Skills Necessary for Success

  1. Able to communicate emotionally and effectively with candidates, colleagues, clients, and prospects.

  2. Enjoys sales and loves seeing people take action—loves when people say “yes” to buying.

  3. Able to adapt to applications and platforms such as Asana, Business Manager, Canva, YouTube, and Hootsuite.

  4. Able to plan, execute, and manage marketing campaigns through social media.

  5. Soft graphic design capabilities are a must.

  6. Willingness to learn and adopt digital sales funnels and value ladder strategies.

  7. Willing to learn new strategies and willing to pivot quickly when needed.

  8. Ability to organize photography and video campaigns.

  9. Plan the marketing calendar.

  10. Light video editing through mobile devices and apps needed.

  11. Launching content on the website, YouTube, and social media platforms.

  12. Copywriting is key—the message must emotionally connect with the intended target market.

  13. Well versed in Google Analytics

  14. Plan and execute digital advertising campaigns.

  15. Ability to work with the team on live events.

  16. Ability to promote live events through multi-media platforms.

  17. Networking skills are a must.
